Target Audience
This course is designed for internists, hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, and allied health from novice to experienced.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss signs and symptoms of patients who have developed an acute exacerbation of heart failure.
- Discuss ways to improve mortality rates and decrease recurrent exacerbations for patients with chronic heart failure.
- Describe shock and how to effectively manage symptoms.
- Discuss appropriate timing for a neurology consultation.
- Describe how to provide high-level care to all patients based on the most recent practice guidelines, medical evidence and standards of care.
