Target Audience

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss signs and symptoms of patients who have developed an acute exacerbation of heart failure.
  • Discuss ways to improve mortality rates and decrease recurrent exacerbations for patients with chronic heart failure.
  • Describe shock and how to effectively manage symptoms.
  • Discuss appropriate timing for a neurology consultation.
  • Describe how to provide high-level care to all patients based on the most recent practice guidelines, medical evidence and standards of care.
