The annual Mayo Clinic Florida Value Symposium serves as a commemoration among Mayo Clinic colleagues, offering a platform to share stories and examples of process improvements that positively influence outcomes in patient safety, service, experience, and equity for patients and staff alike. The symposium aims to educate, inspire, and galvanize staff to engage in quality activities that enhance the value provided to our patients. In 2024, the symposium spotlights quality improvement activities by staff under the theme: "Humanizing AI Implementation in Healthcare: Maintaining a Patient and Staff Centric Culture." The symposium features an interactive session facilitated by quality experts and accessible to all attendees. The poster gallery is both virtual and in-person, providing participants with an opportunity to share their experiences and educate colleagues about quality improvement, patient safety, and patient experience.

Abstract Submission Now Closed!

This year, there will be one call for abstract submissions. One panel will review all submitted abstracts for all site-based conferences. The top scoring submissions will be considered for an oral presentation at one of the conferences.

Complete the abstract entry form to submit a poster abstract for consideration. Deadlines for abstract submissions are:

Target Audience

This course is designed for allied health professionals, dietetic technicians, healthcare executives, nurses, nurse practitioners, optometrists, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physicians, physician assistants, psychologists, registered dietitians, residents/fellows, scientist researchers, social workers, speech language pathologist, and students.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the impact of AI on healthcare delivery to improve patient outcomes.
  • Examine strategies to address concerns leading to potential challenges related to AI implementation in healthcare.
