Building on 30 years of continuing education courses, the Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependence Center is partnering with Truth Initiative to host the 2025 national conference highlighting the intersection between tobacco control policy and practice. Amidst an evolving tobacco product landscape and scientific evidence, the course will educate attendees about the latest science, treatment best practices, and policy considerations. Attendees will explore a range of challenges and opportunities to deliver tobacco dependence treatment to reduce prevalence and improve the nation's health.

The Bi-State Infectious Disease Conference was developed in 1996 as a collaborative effort of the local APIC Chapter 73, public health departments and school nurses in the Missouri and Illinois bi-state area. The annual conference is designed to provide continuing education for healthcare professionals from Missouri and Illinois. It provides the most current information for disease intervention, detection, prevention, control and preparedness pertaining to infectious disease in order to provide optimal healthcare to our patients and to our community.

Primary care represents the “front entryway” into the healthcare system. Primary care, family medicine, and pediatric teams are tasked with not only caring for the medical needs of their patients but with caring for the mental health needs of their patients as well. Embedding evidence-based mental health interventions within the primary care environment represents a unique opportunity to promote overall health in a less stigmatized environment, with opportunities for earlier intervention and improved outcomes. Considerable variability exists across primary care clinics in terms of populations served, patterns of medical and psychiatric conditions and comorbidities, internal and community-based mental health resources, and barriers to care. Even with minimal resources, strategic investments can be made in designing, implementing, and evaluating integrated programs within primary care. A growing evidence base also exists for brief, single-session mental health interventions that can be delivered right at the point of care. IBH teams of social workers, psychologists, nurses, and psychiatric prescribers all bring a unique skill set that can deliver highly targeted, single-session interventions to help serve the entire primary care population in a resource-efficient manner.

This online course consists of learning the basic pathophysiology of endometriosis, how to diagnose it, current management options, and the relationship between endometriosis and pelvic pain. Additionally, participants can explore social policy and bioethical considerations related to this condition and gain access to the PBS film ‘Below the Belt,’ which shares personal experiences of four individuals with endometriosis.

This three-day conference (live/livestream format) addresses health issues that are unique to women or may affect women differently than men. The selected topics are clinically relevant and aimed at physicians and advanced practice providers. Conference sessions are led by subject matter experts, many from Mayo faculty, with case-based presentations, practice pearls, and interactive Q & A sessions. Optional small group discussions address challenging topics. Menopause 101 is an optional preconference experience as well (separate registration). The Women's Health Update is a must attend conference for healthcare professionals who provide care to women.
